i don't think sun aspects have anything to do with the accidents. cause
sun accounts only for the large illnesses and fevers. although it is true
that sun in the 8th or 6th or 1st house from natal sun proves to be
harmful for the subject's health. these health problems however do not
mean accidents. According to vedic astrology accidents are the area of
authority of mars.
i read among the other comments that someone from sweden has found the
relation of accidents with aspects of mars and saturn. this is very
correct, since most accidents involve bone fractures and the fractures
occur particularly at mars-saturn aspects.

here is some more info if interested. I was born april 17, 1972 in denver
colorado at 2.50 am. i was injured on AUGUST 17, 1999 at 3:30 am in
nashville, tennessee with injuries to neck, back and arms. very
interesting. i was working as a nurse. if you would like any more info

[Since writing my thesis in 1992,] we have acquired a set of data from the
Swedish Government and did a replication and did not find anything like
the results of my original study. Zip Dobyns, Mark Pottenger and I have
been working on the data and found very little significance at all to the
solar transits. The results have not been written up in an article yet,
but Mark Pottenger gave two lectures on this effort at the International
Astrology Conference in Plymouth, UK in August 1999.
We obtained a large database of injured workers from the Swedish
Government's equivalent to our Workers' Compensation Board. We had close
to 3000 individuals, of which over 2400 were TIMED accidents (i.e., we had
the exact time of accident). We used this subsample in order to be able to
use the Moon. As all of these people were Swedish, they all lived in the
same time zone, so we could do that.
What was found was a SMALL significant effect to hard aspects between
Mars and Saturn (P>.03)
Mars Saturn aspects were found also on the original study (the California
Sample) when we re-analyzed it.
The Swedish sample showed no effects from the transiting Sun to the
natal Sun either at the opposition or the square. However, a reversed
effect was significant statistically on the conjunction: i.e., the LEAST
amount of accidents occurred around the birthdate!. We found out that in
Sweden, people get their birthdays off!! So they actually were not at work
on their dates of birth.
Generally we feel that the difference in results stems from very
different cultural values and psychological attitudes toward work, people
in places of authority and the individual's self worth.
Obviously, more replications are needed, and we are constantly looking
for additional samples that will fit our criteria to do such replications.

Come"...catchy, of course but begs the question. The proof that the
danger can be averted is...???

OK.... I'm skeptical, especially since this is, um, 2000, and your
'statistics' were from '92, and, hmmm, I don't seem to see any clarion
call of support from an outside researcher, specifically one who is
disinterested, as all good science is disinterested, and I haven't seen
any further results from _you_, and I haven't seen a valid confirmation of
this study from a real university- since, honestly, the University for
Humanistic Studies, Del Mar, California, is, as you are fully aware, a
junk institution of no proper credentials. You should be ashamed to offer
it as your degree school in serious scientific realms, and you know it.
Run the _same_ data, and look for accidents _outside_ your projected
expectations....
Then let us know what you get, if you dare to run this data without any
preset bias that is.

Being an accident prone sag.rising conj. mars sq sun opp.jup my
injuries often occur around birthday or opposition to asc. Probably not
life threatening due conj Jup.I am presently home on sick leave with
herniated disk which I'm sure has to do with Sat op natal Saturn in 6th.
Interesting study hope this info can be of use.
