From an esoteric point of view your birth chart is a portrait of your soul's intention for this lifetime, the lessons to be learned, qualities to develop, problems to be resolved, service to be rendered. From that perspective, the choices one makes in one's daily life have reverberations that may last beyond even this lifetime.
This report is written to help you clarify your lessons and goals, illuminate your struggles, and encourage you to move in the direction of your true purposes.
The best to you on your journey...

Chapter 1: The Moon
The placement of the Moon in your birth chart is very significant from a karmic perspective, as it indicates the accumulated karmic tendencies, both positive and negative, that you carry from your past incarnated experiences on earth.
While the Sun reveals your intended purposes and lessons for this present life cycle, the MOON represents what you have already done and developed, hence, what is instinctive and natural to you, and what you tend to do over and over again. Your childhood is also reflected in the Moon's placement, as it is through those childhood circumstances that any unresolved past-life issues are re-stimulated. Your subconscious predisposition is indicated by the Moon's position. It is the psychic imprint of the past. The nodes of the Moon describe behavior patterns from the past, as well as delineating a direction out of outworn or overdone behaviors and habits.
Moon in Aries:
You instinctively react to challenges or stress with action, decisiveness, and a first-strike approach. Subconsciously you feel that you must either conquer or be conquered, and thus tend to view personal differences as a threat to be fought or defended against. This underlying feeling that life is a dogfight can make you rather quick-tempered, defensive, and combative, responses that frequently hinder you in establishing closeness and security in personal relationships. Since you feel that the other person is essentially a rival or opponent, it is difficult for you to let down your guard.
You may have lived many lifetimes in the military or in rather primitive circumstances in which you basically had to depend on yourself to hack out an existence, perhaps as a pioneer or explorer. These experiences enabled you to develop a deep sense of inner self-reliance and independence as well as a residual, underlying sense of "I'm all I've got", a feeling of singularity and aloneness which continues to influence your behavior and your choices.
In your present life it may be that you were forced to fend for yourself emotionally at a young age. You may well have been an only child or the first born, with the attendant feelings of being the chief or leader of the pack. If you were a middle child, it is likely that you resented this position since it does not correspond with your innate feeling about yourself, namely that you should be the first or dominant one. You subconsciously expect to be first and can be rather demanding and impatient when it comes to having your desires and needs attended to. At the same time, you dislike having to depend upon others for anything or having others depend upon you, especially emotionally. You were taught not to be a "leaner" and you dislike this trait in others, so much so that you may reject even natural, healthy expressions of neediness from other people. The urge to be a free agent and to act independently is deeply ingrained in you. For this reason, cooperative endeavors or partnerships of any kind often feel strained and uncomfortable to you, unless both parties are permitted a great deal of personal space or unless you are essentially the boss. Your competitive instincts are too strong to allow another to take the lead or, if the truth be told, even to share that position. The existence of win-win situations and outcomes that benefit everyone involved may be an entirely new concept for you!
Another facet of your deep down conquer or be conquered feeling about life is that you are prone to retreat or give up rather quickly if you cannot immediately make the impact you wish. Unless your initial efforts are successful, you are quick to feel defeated and to drop your plans altogether. Compromise, patience, and sorting out differences in a mutually helpful way is something you have yet to learn at a deep level.
When at your best, you express a confident, take charge attitude which enables you to lead and blaze new trails. You do well in independent enterprises and anywhere you have a clear cut opponent or challenge to pit yourself against, but once again, in intimate one-to-one relations this self assertion can work against you. You tend to be more selfish than you realize, especially when you are pursuing your latest passion or enthusiasm. You do not want to slow down, and other people's needs and wishes may get run over. Non-verbally and unconsciously you may send them the message that you do not want them to depend on you or get in your way. You often respond with a forceful, rather insensitive denial of feelings and emotional needs, your own as well as other people's. When young you are apt to feel invincible and to scorn weakness.
You are also quick to anger. The plus side of this is that once you blow up, it is all over and forgotten. However, you tend to have an anger habit, that is, to be easily provoked, unable to control your temper and apt to lash out quickly no matter how inappropriate or uncalled for that reaction may be. Also, your anger can be a cover for other, "weaker" feelings like hurt, sadness, helplessness, or inadequacy.
The qualities you most need are patience and receptivity. Learning to listen and take in what others are offering, to receive, to ask for help and support, and to acknowledge all of your own (and other's) feelings will go a long way to create harmonious and satisfying, close relationships.
Moon Opposition Neptune:
Your sense of wonder and your openness to the unseen, subtle, spiritual dimensions of life are two of your gifts. You are extremely sensitive to the energies and currents of feeling around you and, because you are so impressionable and receptive, you are influenced (even duped) rather easily. Throughout your life you maintain a certain childlike belief in magic and in wishing, and you tend to escape into the inner world of your imagination (or anesthetize yourself with movies, or soap operas, or food) when the outside world seems either too dull or harsh for you. It is important for you to learn to deflect negative or turbulent emotional influences in your environment, as you tend to get "sucked in" to others' feeling-world.
The "wonder-child" aspect of yourself can be invaluable, connecting you with the world of spirit and your true home. Along with this is a strong current of emotional idealism and devotion to the Mother. This gives you a great capacity for nurturing, empathy, mercy, and compassion, yet there is a downside to this: a tendency to become a martyr. Beware of sacrificing yourself to take care of other people or to try to rescue or "save" them.
Excessive dependency, passivity, and wishing to be taken care of are all themes around which some of your greatest challenges revolve. Either you yourself tend to succumb to such impulses (feeling yourself to be weak, needy, a victim) or you may attract other people into your life who play that role. For men, this can also lead to yearning for the perfect woman who will love and accept them unconditionally and meet all of their needs - but who inevitably disappoints, as flesh-and-blood women cannot fulfill that illusion for long. Women, on the other hand, may try to be the perfect woman, all-accepting, all-giving. Either of these can be traps for you.
You also need to be extremely cautious with intoxicants, mood-altering substances or practices as these can create much confusion and distort your perceptions to the point where you lose touch with your genuine mystical and intuitive abilities.
Moon Quincunx Mercury:
You have a great need to understand the past, whether your own personal life history or in a larger sense as in world history or the evolution of cultures. You want and need an historical understanding of life. You may, however, dwell on and be so immersed in memories of events that happened long ago that it colors your entire perception of the present. At its worst, this inclines you to be emotionally-biased and prejudice in your thinking, and it will be a challenge for you to overcome your tendency to project your own personal experiences and tastes upon every situation, mixing the emotional with the factual. At times, too, what you feel or are personally comfortable with conflicts with your rational understanding or stance on things. However, you may also translate this ability to blend feelings with intellect into a particularly clear understanding of the inner and subjective aspects of life and with an ability to talk or write about them quite lucidly. A certain restlessness and sensitivity of the nervous system also accompanies this aspect.
Moon Quincunx Jupiter:
Prior lifetimes of great ease, luxury and what is considered "the good life" have engendered in you various tendencies which carry over into your present life cycle: a certain optimism, a taken-for-granted faith that whatever you need will be provided, and the inclination to generously and easily share whatever good fortune you possess. When acting from these instincts, you are very open and freehanded, though perhaps indiscriminately and extravagantly so. Out of this good-hearted, brotherly attitude you may support people or causes without thoroughly investigating them. Also from your incarnational past, there is the theme of having a big, warm family, many friends, and a wide range of social contacts. You were popular and influential in a social sense. An involvement in politics, law and/or religion (to the extent that the church dictated and organized people's lives) is indicated, and this carries over into the present as a desire for the same popularity and favor you once enjoyed. The desire to "do good" and contribute to the betterment of your fellow man is a positive expression of this, and you do indeed possess an instinctive knowledge of how to appeal to the masses. However, beware of taking shortcuts, acting from greed, or trying to get something with relatively no effort. Also, trying to "buy" friends or gain a superficial popularity in order to puff up your own sense of importance are negative potentials. A tendency towards excess indulgence in rich living, good times, partying, food, drink or splurging on "only the best", needs to be held in check. If you manifest problems with your weight, water-retention, liver or gall bladder there may be karmic results of wastefulness and over consumption, the seeds of which were sown in your incarnational past. Moderation and temperance are needed, especially with fats and alcohol.
North Node in Gemini:
In your incarnational past you were devoted to ideals and principles and high-mended pursuits. Now your growth direction is to laugh and see the humor in it all, as well as to apply your wisdom in ordinary day to day interactions.
North Node in 2nd house:
You may find your past tendency is activated whenever issues of shared or joint assets, legacies, or merging your resources with another's comes up. You succeed in your own financial affairs when you apply your new attitude (growth direction).
Chapter 2: The Sun
The Sun in your birth chart represents the primary creative thrust for this lifetime, those qualities you are to develop (or further develop) and express, and your current life focus. This may be in harmony with your instincts and your emotional habits, or along completely different lines. The Sun represents your conscious identity in this lifetime.
Sun in Libra:
In this lifetime your guiding principle or underlying motivation is the golden mean, the ideal state of balance and symmetry, the moderate course that avoids extremes, the happy medium.
An essential aspect of your path involves bringing together and harmonizing opposing energies, finding a balance and a meeting point between them and creating bridges so that interrelationship is possible.
The concept of relationship is key, whether it is the relationship of colors in a painting, between objects on the mantel piece, between nations or between two people. You have a highly developed sense of style or harmonious arrangement, of correct, appropriate, and beautiful relationships. Aesthetics are very important to you in your surroundings, in people, in the manner in which things are done. You are artful (in both the positive and negative sense) in the way you approach life.
In your personal relations you excel in the art of compromise and diplomacy. Your subtle touch and fine tuning regarding what is needed to maintain harmony (or at least a continued flow of interaction) between the two parties serves you well in this regard. At your best, you are thoughtful and considerate, tactful, sweet, and impeccable in your manners. You view things from a "we" perspective rather than simply I/Me. However, your desire to create unity or maintain agreeable relations inclines you to avoid stating the naked truth if you think it will be unpopular. You may abhor conflict, and at your worst you will compromise the truth or your own integrity in order to avoid it. You can be artful in the sense of crafty, machinating, and disingenuous. You can be charming in a manipulative way. Perhaps you do not out-and-out lie but you will prettify the truth to make it more acceptable, more palatable. Going solo is not your path in life, and because of your need for others (or at least one significant other), you may lack confidence of your own.
You are keenly aware of polarities, the yin/yang of life, and of "the other" (the other side of the coin, the other person, the other possibilities, the opposing point of view), and you have both the gift and the desire to blend the two, a synthesis which includes both opinions, in your own center. Your need for a consensus and for others' approval, can make you indecisive, uncertain of yourself, and disinclined to make waves. But although you will accommodate and compromise a great deal, you do have a strong inner sense of fairness and balance. Reciprocity and equality in relationships are so important to you that you will usually take a stand when your sense of fairness is being violated.
An idealist at heart, it is sometimes hard for you to accept that life is not always fair and that it has its dirty side, its ugliness. And the fact that you too have emotions and impulses that are not beautiful or "nice" is something you find difficult to accept. You tend to hold yourself as well as others to a certain code of conduct, to your ideal image of how people should be, even when this does not correlate with reality. Emotional honesty is not your strong point. Seeking the ideal of love, harmony, and beauty and trying to live it is. Bringing people together, acting as a moderator or working public relations utilizes your strengths. With your concern for justice, and airing both sides of an issue, law may attract you. (Any field involving art or aesthetics does also). Behind any of these choices are the questions of balance and of blending or joining opposing forces -and these are your lifelong lessons.
You tend to define yourself in terms of the other person, and can lack a strong sense of self outside of your relationship to significant others.
Chapter 3: Rising Sign
The point that was on the eastern horizon at the moment of your birth is called the ASCENDANT, or rising sign. While the Sun describes your conscious direction and current life focus, and the Moon your subconscious predisposition and past, the Ascendant indicates a way of being that transcends and embraces past, present, and future. It describes the way you engage and merge with the outer world and how you bring through into life the energies depicted by the Sun, the Moon, and the rest of your birth chart. Everything is filtered through the Ascendant from an esoteric point of view. It indicates your soul's function and thus a key part of your destiny.
Taurus Rising:
Your soul function is to patiently nurture into fruition your own and others' talents, ideas, gifts, and creative impulses, to bring them to earth and give them a "body" or a tangible form. You are practical, a stabilizer, a grounding force, deliberate, methodical and steady. You prefer to be thorough rather than fast. When out of balance, you are immovable, and may feel heavy or stuck. Ruled by Venus, you work through the principles of pleasure and attraction. You do what you enjoy and want to enjoy what you do. You like to please your senses, to take your sweet time, to appreciate what you have. You may struggle with issues of appetites and consumption, or a lazy side of your nature. Unless other factors in your chart indicate otherwise, you do not go after what you want very aggressively. Rather, you attract what you need or wait for it to come to you at the right time, and this is a key to fulfilling your destiny, as long as you do not degenerate into lazy inertia. An attunement to nature and the earth is part of your soul function also.
Taurus Rising and Venus in Scorpio:
Your Venus is in Scorpio, a sign associated both with fate and karmic attraction in matters of the heart, and with the purification of your emotional nature. Compulsive desires, appetites, jealousy, possessive emotions and sexual or emotional manipulation of others for selfish ends are all part of the picture. Through the pain you feel you may learn to turn toward a more truly loving, refined way of being. Your emotional intensity can then be directed toward healing and deep empathy for others' suffering.
Chapter 4: Saturn, Your Achilles Heel
Karmically considered, the placement of Saturn in your birth chart indicates where your energetic blockages, weaknesses and fears lie, and the areas of your life where the most concentrated effort and discipline will be required to master and overcome them. Yet it also points to the aspects of life which can become your greatest strength if you are willing to face your fears and difficulties honestly, and work with them patiently.
Saturn in Leo
You struggle with acute self consciousness and either an exaggerated sense of your own significance or a profound lack of it. This seriousness about the self and overconcern about your dignity or how others perceive you tends to tie you up in knots, and inhibits you from expressing yourself freely especially in those areas of life that should be or at least could be playful, spontaneous fun (lovemaking, dancing, sports, creative out-pouring of any part). Intense shyness may be a problem, especially in matters of the heart. Your performance anxiety reflects your deep need for recognition and affirmation from the world. However, this need is apt to be frustrated and unfulfilled until you learn to search within yourself for the truth about who you are, and discover a sense of wholeness and completeness within. Once you gain a deep sense of yourself and your worth, the self-centeredness and constant desire for "ego-strokes" which plague you in your early years may well dissipate. At least, this is your task.
Saturn in 4th house:
Your roots, background, origins, early home life and/or relationships with your parents is the arena where you most likely have been frustrated or suffered a lack of support (physical or emotional). Basic insecurities stemming from the legacy of your childhood need to be addressed and healed. Being neglected, deprived or burdened with responsibilities beyond a child's capacity may have robbed you of the sense of security a child derives from being taken care of. Quite possibly you were forced into fending for yourself earlier than you were develop-mentally ready for. Thus, as an adult you need to concentrate on building a solid inner base of security within yourself. One of the blessings here is that through this process you have the opportunity to find your "true home", a place within you that is the source of real security and nourishment. On an external level, owning your own home or property and developing it over time can be a way to help this process along.
You have a tendency to isolate yourself and become a hermit. At certain periods in your life this is necessary and good, for you develop the strength and self-esteem which were not nurtured in your beginnings. However, you should beware of closing people out entirely, and of rejecting intimacy, family ties, or deep emotional investment.
Saturn Square Mars:
Overcoming a lack of confidence, fear of expressing or asserting yourself, a harsh or discouraging early life, and/or a deep distrust of the "masculine" side of life (including your own forcefulness) is part of your karmic package in this lifetime. You will struggle against oppression, from a parent, prevailing circumstances and attitudes in your environment, or your own inhibitions and fears, and may receive very little external support. Difficulties and frustration in sexual or creative expression, with men, with anger and competition, or with authority is likely. If you do not allow yourself to become resentful and bitter, you can become strong and self reliant through patience, self-discipline, persistence, hard work and building your dreams one small step at a time. Healing your wounded male side will be an important key to your eventual fulfillment.
Saturn SemiSquare Uranus:
You carry tremendous inner tension which you will have to work to resolve and harmonize in order to have any peace in your life or any ongoing success in either your personal relationships or your life ambitions. You have what some would call a "disobedient spirit": habitual and chronic irritability and rebelliousness, a refusal to accept or cooperate with any kind of outward authority, and perhaps most troublesome of all, a tendency to blame others(the government, the system, your parents, your ex-) for your discontent. Because you tend to resent any kind of restrictions or limitations (including those imposed simply by living a "normal" orderly existence), you may periodically revolt, and any sort of stability, security, or seniority you may have acquired is badly damaged or destroyed. Or, your inner stress may be expressed in physical symptoms such as grinding your teeth, TMJ, headaches, or imbalances caused by disrupted rhythms. Your karmic pattern is to operate out of an extreme, polarized, all-or-nothing position. You may believe you must either conform and be an automaton or totally disregard convention, tradition, and the old order. On the other hand, you may identify entirely with the established orthodoxy and feel you must repress any impulses toward change or unconventionality, that it is somehow dangerous to experiment or deviate in any way. You may see-saw between these two extremes. Transitions tend to be especially difficult for you. You do not want to let go AND you want to sever your ties entirely. To begin harmonizing these patterns and healing your life, decide first of all to stop blaming others or the way the world is for your discomfort. Make friends with "the enemy", those parts of life you have been polarized against. On a physical level, regular, rhythmic exercise such as bicycling or swimming, and receiving massage therapy to release emotional and muscular tension can be helpful.
Chapter 5: The Hard Aspects
The following is a description of your MAJOR LIFE CHALLENGES, both in terms of energies you are to learn to develop and express in a positive way, and those which are the result of struggles and unresolved karmic issues which you have brought into this life.
Mercury Conjunct Jupiter:
Forging a link between your conscious intellect and your super-conscious or higher mind is a major focus for you in this lifetime.
This may be felt initially in a number of ways: an urge to expand mental horizons and absorb as much knowledge as possible through broad study or world travel, an attraction to spiritual philosophy, or simply as mental restlessness and dissatisfaction with the mundane details of life. What you are seeking is to see the larger pattern, an overview which gives both an integrated understanding and meaning to one's experiences. This cannot be apprehended solely through the conscious intellect, but comes through the capacity to intuit and make connections and see patterns. This desire to see the big picture sometimes translates as a certain sloppiness or imprecision in your thinking. The broad brush strokes are often enough for you. Also, you quickly grasp the overall idea or concept and do not want to get bogged down with the particulars.
You tend to focus on what is possible (the limitlessness of potential) rather than what already is. Optimistic and open-minded, you see reasons why things could happen rather than why they cannot. The development of this kind of faith and the belief in things not yet realized is also an aspect of your linking your conscious mind to your higher mind.
The ability and the calling to communicate truth is a part of this energy pattern as well. When out of balance you can be preachy, exaggerate what you know, or think you know it all. Channeled positively and productively, you could evolve into a teacher who brings parts of the world together. Long distance communication and journeys (both in the physical, outer world and in the inner realms) are part of this aspect. At your finest with this particular pattern, you will act as a mediator or bridge between different places or realms.
Mars Square Pluto:
In this lifetime you must confront the nature of power, and you have the opportunity to transform your relationship to power, clear away deep-seated anger and resentment, and release karmic patterns of perpetrator/victim.
If, in your past, you have been the victim of aggression, ruthless force, or misdirected male energy - you may subconsciously fear or even hate men, have great mistrust of people in power or experience problems in sexual relationships (the arena where power/fear dynamics are often most apparent). In addition, you are prone to self-repression, either of anger or of your own strength. If you have very little energy, consider yourself a weak person, or become extremely uncomfortable when others express any anger, you may be holding down a great deal of hostility. Or, you may be angry all of the time "for no reason". The question of appropriate expression of these intense energies is a delicate one. While repressing them can wreak havoc on your health and sense of well-being, you do not want to unload the deep rage of centuries on innocent people. You may hold your anger or aggression back not only because you fear repercussions (you may have been bludgeoned to a pulp in the past), but also because you sense that whatever is triggering your emotions in the present is not the real problem. In a word, you overreact. (Wanting to kill someone because they forgot to walk the dog is an overreaction).
On the other hand, you may carry an immense burden of guilt because you have been the one who misused your power, strength and/or sexual energies in the past.
Another way you may be expressing this energy is to be intensely and compulsively competitive, acting as if each and every event is a mighty struggle for supremacy, a contest with life or death consequences that you MUST WIN at all costs. You may become compulsively active and productive and driven to "succeed" at all costs. This type of thinking and being creates great stress on your physical, emotional, and spiritual bodies. Very likely it will also have a negative impact on all of your relationships. You will make a lot of enemies and actually force people to turn against you and bring you to your knees. Ruthlessness attracts ruthlessness.
Coming into balance with all of this is a major challenge. Finding a safe place to explore your war-like, destructive, and sadistic self can help. Another key is becoming sufficiently detached so that you can feel and acknowledge all of these energies, and choose when and how to express them without being "taken over" by them. If you are willing to become conscious, you can actually become a great force for good, and can heal and release some very deep wounds you have carried for a long time.
Uranus is Retrograde:
All of the above is complicated by the fact that in prior times, you experienced great personal instability as a result of impersonal, collective impulses toward change (during a time of revolution, political upheaval, war, etc.). You may well have been an agent of these movements, with a lingering inclination toward radical solutions, extremism, flauntingly disregarding social mores. Or you may have become a reactionary, fearing and resisting all reforms or departures from the "main stream". It is thus difficult for you to be balanced and fair towards any eccentricities (in others or even in yourself). A misuse of science or technology, perhaps participating in experiments which were harmful to you or others, is also indicated. Thus, you may have a deep distrust of or an attraction/repulsion toward science and technological advancement.
Chapter 6: Soft Aspects
The following is a description of your GIFTS and STRENGTHS which can help you work with your major life challenges. These are abilities and qualities of heart, mind, and soul which are quite natural to you. You probably take them for granted. Because these represent the lines of least resistance for you, you may rely too much upon them at times; hence, there are some cautions suggested. Still, these are the areas where good flows into your life and/or where you have considerable inner resources.
Sun Sextile Pluto:
You are essentially a survivor and you have enormous inner resources to draw upon in times of crisis or hardship. Your strong, positive will to live and to overcome sustains you and sees you through.
You possess an acute awareness of death. The knowledge that all things in form must come to an end which motivates you to live fully and intensely, to squeeze all of the juice you can out of any experience, and to pursue your goals with great zeal and intensity of focus. Your life is apt to undergo periodic radical changes, total transformations, partly due to circumstances which appear to be completely out of your control and partly because you seek such experiences out. Because you are able to embrace and cooperate with this process of profound change, of dying and being reborn, rather than resisting it, you are able to withstand such changes and grow from them. Your life may have a particularly fated or inevitable quality to it, for you have a strong sense of mission, of being "on assignment" in a spiritual sense. Your belief in yourself and the intensity of your will gives you a lot of personal charisma. Whether you consciously know it or choose to use it, you exert a powerful influence upon your environment.
Moon Trine Saturn:
Your ability to persevere and endure, to commit yourself (to a person, a career, or any path of endeavor) until you achieve completion or some degree of mastery, are strengths which will see you through much of the vicissitude of life. If nothing else, your persistence enables you to achieve and then hold on to the things you cherish.
Emotionally you tend to be loyal, especially to your family, and you are apt to have life-long friends as well. Your conscientiousness and sense of responsibility to those you care for is strong, and thus you establish a firm, stable base of security for yourself in the world. Especially as you grow older, this family loyalty and faithfulness is both very important and very nurturing for you. Relationships with the elders in your family are also apt to be highly beneficial to you in your life.
The upholding of worthwhile traditions and the capacity to benefit from the experience and wisdom of senior family members are important keys to your fulfillment and success.
Saturn Sextile Neptune:
You have distilled wisdom through the disciplines and willing sacrifices you have made in your incarnational past. Now, it is relatively easy for you to appreciate simplicity and to enjoy the peace of mind that comes from detachment from too many material "needs" and wants. You have also developed the capacity to accept discipline, personal sacrifice, and self-denial as an intrinsic part of attaining meaningful goals. Accepting limitation and imperfection as unavoidable aspects of life, you pursue your ideals and dreams without either being naive and foolishly optimistic, or giving up on them entirely. This balance of practicality and idealisms is a true gift, though one that you may easily overlook in yourself since it is not very glamorous or "special".
This is the Karmic Insight Report from Cosmic Patterns.
