You will find that the interpretation of your chart is written in simple
language, uncluttered by astrological jargon. If a statement appears to
contradict another statement, then you exhibit these opposite qualities at
different times in your life. For example, a statement that you are highly
sociable and gregarious and a statement that you prefer solitude seemingly
contradict each other; this means that you vacillate, and need both sociability
and solitude at different times.
The astrological factor that the interpretation is based on is also given. The
astrological factor is given for the benefit of astrologers and students of
astrology. If you are not a student of astrology, then obviously the factor will
not be meaningful to you, and you can ignore it.
If you find this interpretation of your birth chart interesting and informative,
you might want to discuss your birth chart with a professional astrologer to
learn more about the astrological influences on your life.

Chapter 1: General Characteristics
Your fundamental needs, values, and orientation towards life are symbolized by
the four astrological elements. Each person has their own unique balance of
these four basic energies: fire (warmth, inspiration, enthusiasm), earth
(practicality, realism, material interests), air (social and intellectual
qualities), and water (emotional needs and feelings).
Your "elemental make-up" is described below. Remember that most people are
"unbalanced" or lopsided, and if you are lacking or deficient in a certain
element (or elements), it simply means that you need to consciously develop that
aspect of yourself to learn to appreciate and/or to work harder in that
dimension of life.
Sometimes we overvalue the element that we are least endowed with, sensing it as
a lack within ourselves, but more often we neglect or ignore it. The qualities
described below will be reiterated and explained in more detail in the following
chapters.
Your life is apt to be full of emotional extremes, turbulence, joy and sorrow,
arising out of your own passionate nature and unpredictability. You are
impulsive and temperamental. For you, everything is intensely personal and
colored by emotion. You may have difficulty viewing a situation from a detached,
impartial or rational perspective, and you have little inclination to structure
and order your life. However, developing self-discipline, organization, and
focus is essential. Otherwise you will be prone to tremendous moodiness,
alternating between high inspiration and despondency.
At times you feel much internal pressure, for you have two strong impulses which
can be in conflict with one another. The desire for independence and freedom,
the need for self expression and ego recognition, and an urge to leave the past
behind in order to propel yourself into new experiences may be at odds with
other, equally strong needs: attachments to people and to the familiar, a
compelling urge for emotional closeness and union, and a desire for security.
Balancing these two drives is a significant challenge for you.
Even though your life is less even and perhaps less stable than others', most
likely you would not change it, for you are very alive, sensitive, and
responsive to the ever-changing, dynamic quality of life.
One of your primary challenges involves developing a stable sense of security,
solidness, and a steady rhythm in your life. Cultivating self-discipline,
patience and endurance, and learning to accept realistic limitations will enable
you to be more productive and to actualize some of the ideas and creative
impulses you have. You are not always interested in practical applications, the
actual work involved in realizing a desire or compromises for the sake of
practicalities.
You feel out of place in the world at times, restless, discontent, unable to
find your niche, dissatisfied with mundane reality. Positively this may spark
your exploration of the creative, imaginative, or spiritual side of life.
However, you tend to resist growing up and learning how to effectively deal with
adult responsibility. You also tend to be either bound up with the past or
projecting into the future, ignoring the present moment - what actually is. To
become more present and grounded, you may find the following helpful: getting
massages on a regular basis, doing gentle regular, rhythmic exercise like
walking or yoga, and eating substantial, heavy foods.
As you will read in the following chapter, you appear reasonable, rational, and
fair. You dislike showing how emotional, temperamental, and easily affected you
are. Your communication abilities help you effectively handle your strong
emotions and inspirations.

Chapter 2: How You Approach Life and How You Appear To Others
The following is a description of your basic stance towards life, the way others
see you, the way you come across, the face you show to the world. In Chapter 3
you will read about the "The Inner You: Your Real Motivation", which describes
the kind of person you are at heart and where your true priorities lie. Read
this chapter and the next one and compare them - there may be significant
differences between them, in which case "the inner you" may not shine through
and others are in for some surprises when they get to know you at a more than
superficial level. This chapter describes the costume you wear, your role in
life, while Chapter 3 talks about the real person inside the costume.
You are always questioning and learning, and you seem young and alive no matter
what your chronological age, for your mind is always alert, curious, flexible
and open to new experiences. You have a childlike enthusiasm for anything new
and you learn easily, but you also get bored rather quickly. You can be
something of a scatterbrain, for you tend to have so many ideas and irons in the
fire that it is hard to keep track of them all. You need and crave variety,
change, mental stimulation, and an active social life.
Articulate, clever, often funny and witty, you are always a refreshing and
interesting conversationalist. You enjoy meeting and interacting with a variety
of different people. You are friendly, flirtatious, and charming in a light,
playful way, and no matter how badly you may be feeling, you never appear heavy
or somber. You may seem frivolous to other, more serious souls. You have a sense
of humor and a sense of perspective that prevents you from taking yourself or
life too seriously. In fact, you may seem flippant or unconcerned about matters
that others consider very important.
In general, you respond to life mentally and objectively rather than
emotionally, and you may not empathize with people very much. You do not like to
be weighed down with too much responsibility or with others' emotional burdens.
Furthermore, if you cannot UNDERSTAND something reasonably and logically, then
very often you would prefer to ignore it, including your own and other people's
irrational feelings, desires, and needs.
Consistency and reliability are not great virtues of yours and your life is apt
to be full of changes and movement due to your restlessness. You become nervous
and fidgety if things are not moving quickly enough. You are interested in what
is current and up-to-date, the newest trends in thought or style.
Your gifts are a quick mind, verbal facility, a flair for language, social
sophistication and polish, the ability to communicate, converse, and build
bridges between people and between ideas. You tend to become an incessant
chatterbox or gossip if you do not have work or other activities that utilize
your mental, verbal, and social skills.
You come across to others as intelligent, alert, articulate, knowledgeable, and
communicative. You are quite curious and interested in the people and events
around you, and can't resist commenting about them.
You also need to be busy and active, and you move quickly. You also appear to be
restless. Keeping your mind or hands occupied helps with that.

Chapter 3: The Inner You: Your Real Motivation
Although you seem flexible and changeable (as described in the previous
chapter), you are really quite loyal, and you remain fixed on your heart's
desires. Because you enjoy being center stage you often use your verbal ability
and quick wit (mentioned earlier) to entertain or impress other people.
Proud and intensely individual, you really want to stand out, to be the very
best you can be, and to be recognized and appreciated for your unique
contributions. Doing something well and being respected for it is extremely
important to you, and you cannot tolerate being in the background, taking orders
from others, or being "just one of the team". You must put your personal stamp
on whatever you do, and direct your own course in life. You need to have a place
where you can shine, express yourself creatively, and be the one in charge.
You have big dreams and the determination, spirit, vitality, and enthusiasm to
bring them into being. You also have a noble, romantic heart, and a love of the
dramatic, colorful, and extravagant.
For you it is true that "all the world's a stage" and you secretly (or perhaps
not so secretly) desire to be the Star or Hero in the play. You want to be
great, and to receive the love and applause of an adoring audience, even if the
"audience" is just one other special person. You need someone to believe in you
and your dreams. Though you appear radiantly self-confident and independent, you
are actually very much dependent on the affirmation, love, and recognition of
others. You cannot bear being unnoticed or unappreciated.
You also love wholeheartedly and generously and really know how to make the
person you love feel special. You love the magic of "being in love" and know how
to keep the romance alive in your relationships. You are also immensely loyal
and will defend your loved ones and stand by them to the end - as long as they
never offend your pride or betray your trust. However, you like to be the strong
one in a relationship and you really do not share the leading role very easily.
Ideally you need to find a person who is as strong-willed as yourself, but who
will not try to dominate or compete with you.
Your strengths are your zest and love for life, your creative power, and your
warm and generous heart. Your primary fault is your tendency to be very
egocentric, so concerned with the impression you are making and with your own
creative self-expression that you forget there is another, larger world that
does not revolve around you.
You are a private person and inclined to withdraw in very public and impersonal
social settings. You prefer to work at home or in a very personal small
business.
You invest a lot of your creative energy into your home, your family, and your
inner life.
Your life is apt to be blessed with more than your share of helpful friends,
fortuitous connections, and doors opening to you at just the right time. Because
you are usually willing to share and to give back to others in a generous way,
you continue to generate successes in your life no matter how unfortunate
prevailing circumstances are. Beware, however, of becoming an opportunist.
However you also have a heavier side which keeps your optimism from becoming
ungrounded or overblown. You tend to seesaw between your faith, vision and high
aspirations, and your caution and realism (or fear!). You cannot and do not rely
on good luck or grace alone, and you accept the need for hard work. Your
doubting or "heavy" side is described below.
You have a healthy amount of self-control and self-discipline. You also radiate
a rather responsible, trustworthy, solid feeling about yourself which will win
you the confidence of others, especially your superiors.
While you are realistic and conscientious (or overly conscientious), as
described above, you also have an otherworldly, dreamy, or mystically-inclined
side, as described below.
You are very open and receptive to the spiritual, intangible, and subtle realms,
and can easily receive or give conscious guidance based on your inner
attunement. You take many things for granted, such as the existence of an
afterlife or the effects of subtle influences like aromatherapy, spiritual
healing, etc. These things seem obvious to you, whereas to many people they are
a matter of conjecture or even illusory. You may not realize you have spiritual
gifts because they come so naturally to you.
Inwardly you are zealous and fanatical, though you may hide your personal
desires and intentions, and the intensity of your feelings. You are driven by a
deep inner sense of destiny and mission and an almost compulsive desire for
personal recognition. You have an infatuation with power and are incredibly
willful and stubbornly fixated on achieving greatness or being Somebody Special.
You tend to worship heroes who have powerful personal magnetism and charisma,
and often seek to emulate them. You have potential for tremendous good or
tremendous evil.
You have a strong need to be with people whom you are emotionally close to. You
are very sensitive to others emotional needs, lending a sympathetic ear to their
problems. Peace and harmony in your personal surroundings are very important to
you.

Chapter 4: Mental Interests and Abilities
You are a person of strong opinions and you express your views energetically and
often dramatically. You are an entertaining speaker and will embellish or
exaggerate in order to get your point across. You have an aptitude for
storytelling and performing. Even if your arena is only the classroom or dining
room table, you put on a good show. You have an abundance of creative ideas and
do not enjoy a job in which you have no creative input or voice in
decision-making. You could be a good politician, spokesperson, group leader,
director, or coach.
You have an introspective turn of mind and may enjoy keeping a journal or a
record of your dreams and personal experiences, or learning about psychology,
history, and the inner workings and emotional foundations of your own life. You
are studious and something of a bookworm.
You have a sharp mind and a sharp tongue as well, and love a vigorous discussion
or debate. You express your thoughts in a clear, decisive, convincing style. You
dislike vagueness and fuzzy thinking, and are quick to point out the
discrepancies in another's argument. At times you are verbally aggressive and
abrasive to others, and you tend to overstate your case or offend people by your
unadorned frankness. You can be an effective spokesperson, lawyer, or salesman.
You have an aptitude for writing as well, particularly criticism or satire. You
enjoy mental challenges and mental work.
You have a charming disposition and love to socialize and meet new people. You
also like to be surrounded by beautiful things and like to talk to others about
your views on love problems as well as your views on beauty, fashion and art in
general.
You have a restless mind and constantly occupy yourself with new things and
plans. Creative, inventive and resourceful, you are an indefatigable mental
worker. You also have the need to pass your knowledge on to others and you do
this very excitedly.

Chapter 5: Emotions: Moods, Feelings, Romance
Secretive and inclined to brooding silences, it is difficult for others to
really know your inner core, for you trust and open yourself to very few.
Allowing yourself to be vulnerable and to relinquish control in relationships is
not easy for you.
You have intense, passionate loves and hates and are a jealously loyal and
protective friend - or a fearsome foe. You have a nasty habit of holding on to
past hurts, resentments, and guilt - and to keep such feelings to yourself. It
is important for you to learn to forgive and let go, as well as to express your
feelings openly and directly, rather than hiding or repressing them.
You are not content with superficial appearances and are always probing beneath
the surface of things for hidden motives. You have a great deal of emotional
depth.
You have a sympathetic nature and instinctively reach out to people in need of
help. You also have a deeply ingrained tendency to want to improve or "fix"
other people's lives, which can be annoying to the person who has no desire to
be changed or "helped" in this way. For you, affection and caring must be
expressed in tangible acts or service of some kind.
You are temperamental and impatient and can be very difficult to live with. You
tend to respond with a temper tantrum (overt or subtle) if your desires are
frustrated. You become very irritable and bad-tempered if you do not have enough
vigorous physical activities or other outlets for your aggressive, feisty
spirit.
You feel that little, daily acts of caring and thoughtfulness are essential to
the happiness and success of a relationship and you know how to make others feel
accepted, loved, and cherished. You enjoy good relationships with women.
You are very compassionate and love to share your feelings with others. You are
always in search for new contacts and enjoy working together with others in
meetings, clubs or associations.
You instinctively know your mission in life. You are satisfied knowing inside
yourself what you can do and don't feel the need to be dependent on anyone. But
you are also sensitive to others needs and have a strong desire to spend time
with your loved ones.
Your emotional flow seems to be blocked in some way and you may feel inhibited
when you are with others. You are likely to have a certain fear of crowds and
may have a tendency to be agoraphobic.
You possess a certain inner greatness and because of your inner qualities, you
have the ability to influence others. People look to you for guidance and
advice, and your leadership is easily accepted by those with whom you come in
contact.
Sensitive and sentimental, you are deeply attached to your family, old friends,
familiar places, and the past. You are romantic and tender in love, and the
remembrance of birthdays, anniversaries, family rituals, and other days of
personal significance is very important to you. You seek caring, emotional
support, and security in love. You like to be needed, to cherish and protect
your loved ones, and you are somewhat possessive of them.
Beautiful, elegant, and harmonious surroundings are very important to you, and
you have an innate sense of style, design, and form. Socially, also, good form
and politeness are important to you and you instinctively avoid crudeness and
dissonance.
You enjoy talking about love, relationships, art and the beautiful side of life.
You appreciate artistic people.
You are excitable, spontaneous, and easily aroused emotionally and sexually. You
fall in love very quickly and have little self-restraint or concern for
propriety when your feelings have been stirred. However, it may be difficult for
you to sustain a relationship after the first rush of excitement wanes,
especially if your partner is basically a conservative person who does not like
to change or experiment. Nontraditional relationships appeal to you, and
personal freedom is highly important to you.
You have a merry disposition and a strong desire for pleasure and amusement.
Interested in art, you have a sense of beauty, but also could be somewhat
extravagant. Your outgoing personality puts others at ease and you tend to
discuss love and beauty with them.

Chapter 6: Drive and Ambition: How You Achieve Your Goals
You are proud and ambitious, and you strive to excel, to stand out and be
recognized for who and what you are. You have a very strong ego drive and like
to be Number One. You find it difficult to take orders from others or to stay in
the background, and you hate being wrong; you always insist that you are right!
You are forceful, strong, energetic, determined, and highly competitive. You
play hard, you play to win, and you do not give up easily. In fact, you see life
as a competitive sport or performance. You love admiration and applause, and you
have a strong sense of personal honor and integrity. You tend to be very
self-confident, even arrogant. Because of your belief in yourself, you are able
to accomplish much, but if your confidence is ever undermined, you become
self-conscious, defensive, and rather belligerent.
It is not easy for you to show the world at large your angry or competitive
side, but your family sees this side of you more often. Temper tantrums,
tumultuous family relationships, or a great deal of competition between you and
one or more of your relations is likely. You like to be the one in charge in
your home and you put a lot of energy into making it the way you want it.
Somewhat self-willed and obstinate, you tend to withdraw from everything that
you deem unnecessary. You may prefer to be alone and are inclined to cut
yourself off from other people frequently, resulting in loneliness and
depression.
You seem to be compelled to defend your rights and may be subject to angry
upsets or quarrels in your environment. At times you also could be the force
behind the scenes and may be attracted to some kind of secret mission, such as a
secret agent.
You have a good balance between idealism, optimism, and vision for the future on
one hand and a realistic sense of what can actually be achieved on the other
hand. Your judgment and business sense are usually quite good. You possess
patience and the ability to accept limitation and frustration on the way to your
goals.
Older, more experienced individuals or mentors are likely to play a significant
and beneficial role in your life.
You are capable of overcoming tremendous odds, and of enormous self-discipline
and focus. When you set your sights on achieving something or are presented with
a thorny challenge, it is your capacity for eliminating the superfluous, getting
along with very little, and riding through tough times that enables you to
triumph eventually.
Your ambition and/or role in life involves communication, message-carrying,
writing or speaking, languages, or being an intermediary. Sometimes you're apt
to feel that you have to work harder than others to get the word out or receive
public recognition. "Work smarter, not harder" should be your motto.
You are inclined to deem yourself irresistible and could give the impression of
being a bit snobbish. You tend to concentrate mostly on yourself and expect
others to adapt to your wishes. Very creative, you also strive to be the best
artistically.
You tend to be a bit stubborn and want to achieve your goals at any cost. Very
independent, you resent authority and want to gain control over others. You are
capable of extraordinary achievements, but could resort to drastic measures in
order to succeed.

Chapter 7: Growth and Expansion: Areas That You Enjoy
You have the ability to see connections between seemingly unrelated ideas or
worlds, and to bring them together. You excel in any field requiring clear
intellect, and verbal and communication skills. You have an insatiable curiosity
and may read or watch television constantly in order to satisfy your need for
mental stimulation. Your mind never stops.
You have an optimistic outlook on life and to others you appear jovial,
confident, and expansive. You do what you can to be encouraging and helpful to
other people, and your generosity and lack of pettiness makes you very
well-liked.
Because you see yourself as a lucky person, you may feel that you can "get away
with anything", without negative consequences. You tend to go to excess and have
little sense of moderation (or even caution, at times).
You are very broad-minded and tolerant, and you have a rich, colorful
imagination. You do not struggle with life as much as most people; you are
inclined to follow the path of least resistance.
Your willingness, even eagerness, to embrace change and to undergo deep,
transformative experiences for growth and self-improvement is one of your finest
attributes. You are also likely to be an instrument for positive reform in the
world. You coordinate well with other people when you share a mission or higher
purpose.

Chapter 8: Areas That Challenge You Or Are Difficult For You
You take your personal relationships so seriously that they may seem more like
work, constant effort, and compromise, rather than a free and enjoyable sharing.
You may feel that relationships in general require more of you than they are
worth, and you enter into any close relationship cautiously and conscientiously.
You also fear entrapment in close relationships.
You take both your work and your health very seriously, but you may demand so
much of yourself at work that you compromise your health. You can become a
workaholic, not so much because you have lofty ambitions, but because you never
feel like you've done enough. You are overly responsible or overly conscientious
at work, so much so that you may not enjoy it at all.
You can also get overly involved in self-improvement or your health, and you
tend to be a bit of a hypochondriac.
You take your ideals and dreams very seriously, and you go through periods of
fervent dedication to a lofty ideal or vision. You have the ability to gain some
real depth in spiritual or imaginative areas, but you also can become so
involved in your imaginative, idealistic pursuits that you lose perspective and
develop feelings of alienation and isolation from others.
You become tense and upset rather easily. You become irritated by the
unwillingness of others to make changes. Very serious about bringing your
inspirations into concrete form, you are inclined to forego tact and diplomacy
in order to accomplish your goals. Your occasional outbreaks of brusque,
insensitive behavior often do more harm than good.
Around others you are somewhat humble and shy and prefer to be by yourself. You
tend to limit your contact with others and associate only with like-minded
people. You are inclined to be cool and reserved even toward those you love.
You are quite cool and reserved in matters of love and tend to hold back your
inclination for love. Somewhat inhibited in regard to relationships, you are
inclined to feel that you are better off staying by yourself.
Now we will discuss patterns of behavior which you instinctively and habitually
revert to when under stress - a mostly unconscious process and one which you are
apt to overdo because it is so familiar and thus easy for you. The direction you
need to follow in order to develop balance, greater awareness, and wholeness is
also described.
Your path lies in cultivating idealism and humanitarian feelings, being
concerned with how your actions impact the world at large, perhaps becoming more
aware of the social implications of your life style and personal choices or
becoming active politically. Participating in organizations that support your
ideals is one way to do this.
When under stress you are likely to become overly focused on yourself and your
own little world.
Instead of "how will this benefit or hurt me?" your focus needs to shift to "how
will this affect us all?".
Ideally, you need to strike a balance between doing for yourself and doing for
others, by discovering how your unique gifts can contribute to the good of all.
The arena you are most likely to wrestle with these issues is in your public
life and career. All of these issues will impact your reputation and standing in
your community or professional circle, as well as how you achieve your important
life goals and aspirations.
The specific habits which are likely to hold you back, or which you are prone to
overdo, especially during stressful periods, include:
Excessive thinking, rationalizing, talking, and overuse or misuse of your
intellectual abilities, as well as dissipating your energy in trivial
activities.
You have a friendly, open and sociable manner and a strong desire to cultivate
contact with warm and congenial people. You may enjoy participating in artistic
events and like to associate with art lovers.
You make a big impression on everyone you meet and have the ability to attract
many people. Others find you very fascinating and are likely to see you as their
model or example in groups or associations.

Chapter 9: Originality and Imagination
Areas Where You Are Creative, Unique, Unstable, or Compulsive
You grasp new concepts quickly and are interested in new technologies,
discoveries, and innovations. Unconventional ideas and creative, original
approaches to problems are very attractive to you also. You are easily bored and
may have trouble concentrating on one idea or task at a time. You have an
inventive mind.
You have a sensitive physique and may have allergic responses and sensitivities
to foods, medicines, or anything you take in from the environment. Emotional
stress and confusion seem to affect you physically, even more quickly than they
affect other people.
There was much that was hidden or secret in your childhood home, and you
absorbed a sense of shame or a feeling that you need to hide and protect who you
are from others. One of your parents had an especially intense bond to you and
profoundly influenced you, perhaps dominated or controlled you in subtle ways.
Unlocking the secrets of the past, and learning to be intimate and close to
others without controlling or being controlled are issues for you.
You have the ability to quickly exploit every situation and are able to turn
circumstances around in your favor. You fanatically strive for improvements and
are likely to achieve great success, but should beware of succeeding at someone
else's expense.
Because of your emotional need to be in control and dominate others, your
relationships, especially with women, may not always be harmonious. You must try
to control your compulsive behavior, or you may end up in a relationship with
tragic consequences.
You are not afraid of hard work or to overcome any obstacles in the pursuit of
your objectives. You are capable of immense efforts and will attain your goals
slowly but surely. You know exactly what to work on and don't deviate from your
target.
Your fantasies are inexhaustible and you have very far-reaching ideas. You are
inclined to make big plans that are way out of your reach and impossible to
follow through. You have to guard against becoming involved with some
ill-considered enterprises.

Chapter 10: Generational Influences: Your Age Group
In this chapter we will discuss characteristics and traits of your generation.
Of course, you may not share all of the characteristics of your generation, but
you are greatly affected by the tone that is set by your generation.
The first topic is "The Subconscious and Emotional Drive of Your Age Group". In
this section we will describe a deeply felt urge, even compulsion, of your age
group. This deeply felt drive comes to the surface with great force and power,
and consequently leaves in its wake considerable upheaval and change. The second
topic is "The Ideals and Illusions of Your Age Group", that describes the
dreams, fantasies, and spiritual aspirations of your age group. The third and
last topic is "What is New and Different in Your Age Group", which describes
areas in which your age group tends to be innovative, inventive, unusual, and
also where it may be unstable and unreliable.
The characteristics described below may affect a group of people for anywhere
from a few years to about 30 years. There are one or more different astrological
factors described in each of the three sections below.
The Subconscious and Emotional Drive of Your Age Group
You are part of a 20 year period that is often referred to as the "ME"
generation, a generation that has a very proud and self-reliant attitude. You
are a generation that is very concerned with self-development and personal
integrity. Women's rights and minority rights are issues that your generation
has fostered and they reflect your concern with individual respect, integrity,
and honor. Your age group has a deeply felt sense that each person has an equal
right and opportunity to fully develop his or her inner potential.
However, your group also finds it difficult to be part of a team and a strong
egotism makes group efforts difficult; you tend to see the individual as more
important than the group. You also defy authority and often feel that no one has
the right to tell you what to do. The strong movement to refuse drafting into
the military is one example of your age group's strong sense of individual
rights and freedom.
Your age group has popularized the idea of self-development, and has contributed
a great deal to the development of individual potential as well as human rights.
However, there is also a tendency to be rather self-centered; others may wonder
how you can spend so much time developing yourselves and have so little time to
contribute to your families!
The interest in personal development also sometimes manifests as a fascination
with particular individuals and a great deal of hero worship. Every generation,
of course, has lots of idols, but your generation is particularly prone to
needing a specific individual to represent and embody an idea or feeling, and to
serve as a focal point of interest. Perhaps the most extreme example of this is
the concept of the guru that was popularized by your age group.
The Ideals and Illusions of Your Age Group
You are part of a 14 year group of people who have a very idealistic sense of
brotherhood and universal cooperation, which, among other things, fostered the
peace and freedom movement. Your age group is also interested in the spiritual
philosophy and ideals of other cultures, and is not at all dogmatic in its
approach to religion. You incorporate the approaches of other religions. Your
age group tends to have an eclectic approach to religion, utilizing elements
from many religious perspectives (e.g. Eastern and Western), and finds it
difficult to follow traditionally defined religious practices.
A gullibility and an unwillingness to be decisive and judgmental inclines your
age group to be easily deceived, and consequently many of the well-intended
ideals and goals are frustrated by a lack of clear purpose and direction.
You were also born during a period that lasted approximately 5 years and is
characterized by an unusually high degree of imagination and sensitivity. You
are part of a group of people who are very inspired but also unstable. The
bizarre and unusual are standard fare among your age group. Your generation also
inspires intense political movements that are often fanatical or unreasonable in
their goals.
The entire generation to which you belong has tremendous opportunities for
spiritual rebirth and awakening. This will not be forced upon you or
precipitated by unavoidable events, rather it comes from an inner yearning and a
natural propensity to seek the depths.
What is New and Different in Your Age Group
You are part of a 7 year group of people who have a strong need to feel
unrestrained by family ties and personal heritage. Your age group tends to find
personal relationships very restrictive, and also tends to feel alienated and
distant from family ties and concerns. Forming long-term personal relationships
is difficult for your age group, and divorce rates are high in your group.
However, you are an emotional and sensitive group also, and this instability is
painful at times. Finding personal freedom and closeness with others at the same
time is a big challenge for you.
