The interpretation of your astrology chart begins on the following page.

You will find that the interpretation of your chart is written in simple language, uncluttered by astrological jargon. If a statement appears to contradict another statement, then you exhibit these opposite qualities at different times in your life. For example, a statement that you are highly sociable and gregarious and a statement that you prefer solitude seemingly contradict each other; this means that you vacillate, and need both sociability and solitude at different times.

The astrological factor that the interpretation is based on is also given. The astrological factor is given for the benefit of astrologers and students of astrology. If you are not a student of astrology, then obviously the factor will not be meaningful to you, and you can ignore it.

If you find this interpretation of your birth chart interesting and informative, you might want to discuss your birth chart with a professional astrologer to learn more about the astrological influences on your life.

Chapter 1: General Characteristics

Your fundamental needs, values, and orientation towards life are symbolized by the four astrological elements. Each person has their own unique balance of these four basic energies: fire (warmth, inspiration, enthusiasm), earth (practicality, realism, material interests), air (social and intellectual qualities), and water (emotional needs and feelings).

Your "elemental make-up" is described below. Remember that most people are "unbalanced" or lopsided, and if you are lacking or deficient in a certain element (or elements), it simply means that you need to consciously develop that aspect of yourself to learn to appreciate and/or to work harder in that dimension of life.

Sometimes we overvalue the element that we are least endowed with, sensing it as a lack within ourselves, but more often we neglect or ignore it. The qualities described below will be reiterated and explained in more detail in the following chapters.

Your common sense and your ability to use, enjoy, and deal effectively with the physical world are your greatest strengths. You are down-to-earth and capable of managing practical affairs, working, and taking care of the business of day to day living very well. You have a strong urge to be useful and productive. For you, the bottom line is practicality: Does it work? Is it functional? Of what practical use is it? Theories and speculations mean little to you unless there is some concrete purpose, some way to use them in the real world.

You are methodical and enjoy, even thrive on, a steady routine. Your first response to anything novel or experimental is caution, resistance, or skepticism. Basically conservative, you usually make the best of the status quo rather than venturing into the unknown or making changes that could jeopardize your security in any way. Material security is particularly important to you and your sense of well-being is directly linked with financial assets or knowing you have a steady, reliable source of income. You may hold yourself back or pass over opportunities simply because you cannot control or know the outcome ahead of time. Patience and persistence are your gifts, and you build your life on a firm foundation through discipline, work, and planning.

You also have a deep affinity with the natural world, and need to be close to the earth (gardening, camping, or working with your hands using natural materials) in order to feel your best.

As you will read in the following chapter, you also have a fiery, energetic approach to life, which gives you balance and provides you with the energy and vision to make life more exciting. Your challenge in this life is to keep your spark of enthusiasm and adventure alive and to be willing to take some risks; otherwise, life becomes burdensome for you.

Chapter 2: How You Approach Life and How You Appear To Others

The following is a description of your basic stance towards life, the way others see you, the way you come across, the face you show to the world. In Chapter 3 you will read about the "The Inner You: Your Real Motivation", which describes the kind of person you are at heart and where your true priorities lie. Read this chapter and the next one and compare them - there may be significant differences between them, in which case "the inner you" may not shine through and others are in for some surprises when they get to know you at a more than superficial level. This chapter describes the costume you wear, your role in life, while Chapter 3 talks about the real person inside the costume.

You meet life head on and throw yourself into new experiences with zest and enthusiasm. You are direct, straightforward, assertive, and usually completely aboveboard in all your dealings. Candid and incapable of guile, insincerity or phoniness, you project a confident and sometimes arrogant appearance to others. You often lack tact and sensitivity, and can be completely oblivious to others' needs, and inadvertently selfish. You are self-reliant and don't depend upon social approval and reinforcement as much as other people do. You like to be original and do not mind going it alone. You may feel that you do not fit into groups very well, and that you do not naturally blend in and cooperate with others very easily. You like to be either a leader or a loner.

You are a doer and thrive on freedom, challenge, and activity. You tend to think in clear, black and white terms, and to be somewhat simplistic in your outlook, which enables you to act in a very decisive and self-assured manner. When inspired with an idea, you feel such a sense of urgency and excitement about it that you will often charge ahead and try to implement it in a rather bold but poorly planned and crudely executed way. Patience and careful attention to details are not your forte. However, you never accept defeat and will have brilliant and unprecedented successes and discoveries, as well as painful failures. To you it is far better to make mistakes than it is to play it safe and never try.

You are scornful of what you see as weakness or passivity in others and also of the human tendency to imitate and follow. You are not a follower. Others see you as a strong individual, and perhaps brash and brazen as well. You present a strong front to the world and generally do not allow others to see your vulnerable or insecure side.

Despite the fact that your core self is quite a bit different from the face the world generally sees, you have a strong desire to be seen and recognized, to be acknowledged, and to have a significant influence on people in your environment. You may do remarkable things in order to be noticed. However, you often don't get the full recognition you wish for.

You have a rather generous, open, broad-minded demeanor, and you like to do things in a big way. If you do this primarily to impress others, you will find that many people prefer to avoid you. Even without meaning to, you can seem a bit arrogant or preachy.

You appear contained, and perhaps wary or mistrustful as well. You watch your step, and frequently withdraw if your environment doesn't feel welcoming and safe. As a result, you may seem much more conservative than you actually are. You fear making mistakes in social situations, and are extremely sensitive to criticism or rejection. As you mature, you're likely to grow in confidence, because you'll learn to depend more on your own evaluation of yourself.

You tend to think of work as a hard and necessary chore and may feel that you have little freedom of movement because of pressure caused by your surroundings. You are likely to feel hemmed in and consider dealing with others quite burdensome.

Chapter 3: The Inner You: Your Real Motivation

In addition to having an independent spirit as described in the previous chapter, you are also objective, pragmatic, and quite ambitious. You're likely to work your way to the top of the ladder in some corporation, academic community, or other area by your astute strategies combined with your willingness to take risks. You aim to be the authority, the one in charge. At times your impulsiveness may be at odds with your conservative, responsible side (which is discussed below). You can experience an ongoing internal tension between pleasing yourself and acting spontaneously versus doing what you need to do to get ahead and realize your long-range ambitions.

Serious, disciplined, and quietly ambitious, you are driven to prove yourself and to achieve material accomplishments and success. Your work, your position in the world, and your contributions to society are very important to you. You will persevere through enormous hardship and frustration in order to reach a goal you have set for yourself, and you often sacrifice much in the area of personal relationships and home life in order to do so.

You have a thoughtful, quiet, and self-contained disposition and do not readily show your inner feelings and needs. You seem to be always in control, capable, efficient, and strong. You are often the person in the family or group who is given more responsibility (and more work) than the others. You are highly conscientious and even as a child you possessed great maturity, soberness, and worldly wisdom.

You are basically a pragmatic realist, and though you may have all sorts of dreams, ideals and colorful theories, you feel that the ultimate test of a concept is its practical usefulness. You have an innate shrewdness and business sense, and there is a bit of the cynic in you as well.

You are clear-headed, detached and objective, and are not swayed by emotional dramatics. Often you are authoritarian -strictly fair, but without mercy. You have a great respect for tradition and even if you do not agree with certain laws, you will abide by them or work to change them, but never flagrantly disregard them. Careful and conservative, you play by the rules.

You are subtle, understated, quiet, deep, not easy to know intimately, and never superficial. You are a modest person and sometimes overly self-critical. Giving yourself (and others) permission to feel, to play, to be spontaneous and silly, and to be weak and vulnerable sometimes, isn't easy for you.

Your strong points are your depth and thoroughness, patience, tenacity, and faithfulness. Your faults are a tendency to be rigid and inflexible, and too serious.

Your career, reputation, and public image are very important to you. You have a strong desire to be influential or make your mark on the world. The merely personal sphere does not satisfy you; your ambitions include making a major contribution and receiving broad recognition for your unique effort and gifts. You may undervalue the personal or inner side of life.

You tend to see things from your perspective only and to be rather subjective. You also enjoy talking and expressing your views but you don't always listen as well. You have a clear mind, a love of learning and new experiences, and need constant mental stimulation and activity.

Highly competitive and easily provoked, you need challenges and opponents to pit yourself against. You thrive on contests and rivalry. At times your vigorous, combative way of achieving the things you want antagonizes other people. If you use force too often, others will turn against you and oppose you at every turn.

You are blessed with abundant optimism, self-confidence, and cheerful generosity. Your good will and friendliness win you many allies. You also have grand visions and aspirations, and the desire to succeed in life in a big way. You expect the best, and usually get it.

Along with your energy and drive you have high ideals and an active fantasy life. There is a dreamer and an idealist in you, as well as a doer and a fighter. You want to win but not at others' expense, and this maybe something of a dilemma for you.

You are very open and receptive to the spiritual, intangible, and subtle realms, and can easily receive or give conscious guidance based on your inner attunement. You take many things for granted, such as the existence of an afterlife or the effects of subtle influences like aromatherapy, spiritual healing, etc. These things seem obvious to you, whereas to many people they are a matter of conjecture or even illusory. You may not realize you have spiritual gifts because they come so naturally to you.

You have a deep belief in your own power and your ability to survive any change and to emerge victoriously from any difficulty. You have tremendous inner resources and strength. Intense, strong willed, and zealous, you pursue your desires and goals with complete dedication and singleness of purpose, and you may be somewhat compulsive, even fanatical at times. You like to live intensely and have no respect for people who are weak, who avoid confronting life and their own destiny.

You probably have great intellectual ability and curiosity. You never seem to run out of ideas and always welcome the study of new subjects, the more abstract the better. But you also have the basic sense to translate abstract ideas into practical reality.

Chapter 4: Mental Interests and Abilities

Clear, objective, and realistic, you are unimpressed by exaggerated claims or promises. You insist upon being shown facts to back up any statement you hear, and your natural skepticism often borders on cynicism. You approach problems clearly and rationally and maintain your poise and objectivity even in the midst of critical situations. Anyone seeking your advice is certain to get an unemotional and unbiased assessment of their situation, and you therefore make a good arbitrator or judge. You are thorough, conscientious, and disciplined in your thinking, and have an aptitude for business, organization, and administration. You are also a good strategist, and will plan and patiently follow a realistic course which will lead to your eventual success. Serious-minded and studious, you enjoy quiet time alone for thinking or reading.

You have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge and wisdom and for an ever broadening understanding of life. You are the perpetual student and will be involved in higher education, philosophy, or religion. Law, broadcasting, publishing, or the field of communications are also areas that interest you. World travel and studying other cultures are also strong urges of yours.

Intellectually, you are very competitive, argumentative, sharp, and incisive. You start arguments and may stir up animosity with your impulsive and tactless speech. You always like to have the last word, and others often feel that you do not really or listen to what they are attempting to communicate. So, while you may win the battle (especially if it is a battle of wits), you may well lose the war. That is, your relationships in all arenas suffer tremendously from your aggressive ways of getting your point across and your inability to take in what others are saying. Learning techniques to calm your nervous system and relax your mind would be extremely beneficial for you.

Even though you can be a decisive and convincing speaker (as indicated earlier), you also have a highly imaginative and intuitive mind. With this combination, there are a number of possibilities: you could accurately articulate the images and fantasies you have, you could forcefully convince others of your own brand of idealism (or illusion!), or perhaps you swing from being very clear and direct to being rather evasive or poetic. The following describes the more fluid, nonrational aspect of your thinking.

Imaginative, intuitive, and nonlinear in your thinking, you have a gift for writing poetry, fiction, or fantasy. You also have a natural openness to the spiritual, intangible side of life and could write or speak on these subjects. An innate clairvoyant tendency could also be developed quite easily by you.

Your mind is deep and penetrating and you are interested in anything secret, mysterious, or hidden, including the deeper aspects of the human psyche. You possess an aptitude for private investigation, psychology and research work. You are also drawn to esoteric or occult studies.

Chapter 5: Emotions: Moods, Feelings, Romance

You do not appear to be an intensely emotional or sentimental person, and you are often unaware of your own or other people's deeper feelings and emotional needs. Tears and tantrums bewilder you and make you very uncomfortable. You would rather settle differences by talking things out reasonably and rationally, but you tend to ignore or poke fun at any attempt to probe your own or others' inner depths.

You avoid heavy, demanding emotional involvement and are wary of making personal commitments.

You need plenty of mental stimulation and you feel close to people with whom you can share thoughts and mental interests. Conversation is very important to you. The strong, silent type of partner is not for you.

You often make decisions solely for emotional or personal reasons, because something "feels right" or because you've always done it a certain way and you are uncomfortable changing it. Even when you think you're being rational, your prejudices, intuitions, and feelings influence your thoughts a great deal. You are comfortable talking about feelings and personal subjects, and sharing confidences, which enables others to express their own inner feelings with you as well. You have good psychological insight into others.

You feel that little, daily acts of caring and thoughtfulness are essential to the happiness and success of a relationship and you know how to make others feel accepted, loved, and cherished. You enjoy good relationships with women.

Your emotional attitudes and instincts tend to be quite liberal. You so not want to be caged or dictated to, and you feel everyone is entitled to do as they please in their personal and emotional affairs. You tend to surround yourself with people who are unusual, creative, open-minded, unpredictable, restless, and changeable, and your relationships, with women in particular, may be somewhat unstable as a result. However, you enjoy an element of surprise and unpredictability.

You respond in a strong emotional way to the influence of your environment and have a need to reform those around you. You have a very powerful psychic influence on others and they may look to you for guidance and direction, and you rarely let them down.

You have an instinctive understanding of other people and are very sympathetic toward them. Relationships are very important to you, and you are likely to feel a strong inner bond with many of your friends.

You are open and unconventional in your attitude towards love, romance, and sex. You enjoy socializing, bringing people together, and having many friends of both sexes. You value friendship very highly and are, in fact, more comfortable being a friend than a lover. You desire an intellectual rapport or spiritual bond with your love partner, but deep intimacy and emotional bonding do not come easily to you. The role of "husband" or "wife" in the traditional sense doesn't appeal to you, and you abhor jealousy and possessiveness since you feel that no person truly "belongs" to another. You appreciate a love partner who will allow you plenty of freedom and is not very emotionally demanding.

You are a very sociable, congenial person and you wilt very quickly without the company of good friends and people to share good times with. You thoroughly enjoy working with others on group projects or community activities. You are quite happy when you are a part of a club, support group, or team of some sort.

You are not a traditionalist where love and relationships are concerned, and you often feel that formal commitments and conventional relationships are too binding and life-denying. Thus, forming lasting attachments or letting other people depend upon you is not very comfortable for you. You may be attracted to wild, unreliable, highly creative and/or unstable people who do not offer you any security. Even if you profess to want something steady and solid, you are very reluctant to give up your freedom and autonomy for it. At best, you are suited to serial monogamy, or a relationship that offers you a lot of breathing room.

You find it easy to demonstrate your love and affection for others and to talk about love, and you tend to reveal your most personal feelings to people in your intimate circle of friends.

Chapter 6: Drive and Ambition: How You Achieve Your Goals

You avoid direct confrontation as much as possible and are uncomfortable with aggressiveness, competition, and personal power. Your ego drive is not very strong and you are not especially ambitious or eager to push your way to the top. You may feel inadequate in situations that call for strong, forceful action. The only instance in which you will really fight is when you feel your loved ones, or something dear to you, is being harmed, for then you are a fierce defender. You have a very strong protective side. You act on impulse and instinct and may lash out at anyone you perceive as threatening to your home or family. However, you will rarely initiate a confrontation. Your goals also tend to be very personal and centered around family closeness and inner satisfaction rather than worldly achievement.

You are sensitive to stress and do not handle a high-pressured, competitive atmosphere very well. You are very touchy, irritable, and difficult to live with when there are many demands or tensions at work. Your energy level is inconstant and is very much dependent upon the emotional harmony (or lack of it) in your home. A supportive partner is of great benefit to you in helping you achieve your goals and desires.

Quick-witted and sharp-tongued, you enjoy arguing, debating, and contesting other people's opinions. You are quite forthright and sometimes tactless. You can be very convincing about your point of view, but you are prone to a "hard-sell" approach which sometimes backfires. Challenging mental work is a good avenue for your aggressive intellect.

You dream up creative solutions to problems and take an imaginative, unusual approach to getting a job done. When difficulties arise you prefer to avoid conflict and confrontation in favor of more peaceful or subtle methods of resolving problems. Working to help others or for a cause that transcends your own narrow, personal interests is satisfying for you. You have an artistic flair and appreciate the colorful, unique, or strange.

When you want something, you can be amazingly persistent and unrelenting, even a bit obsessed, although quiet about it. In fact you may hide your deep purposes and intentions even from friends. Whenever you do a thing, it is done wholeheartedly and thoroughly -- and if you don't want to do something that others wish you to do, somehow you'll find a way out of it. You're strong, though subtle.

You are willing to fight your own battles and don't depend on others for support and encouragement. You have a tendency to think somewhat critically though, which could lead to arguments and quarrels.

You impress others with your strong individuality and your powerful personality. You put all of your energy into getting ahead and attaining your ambitions and feel no desire to demonstrate your abilities to anyone, but your work is likely to be noticed.

You know what you want in life and have the ability to define your goals clearly. Being open-minded and frank, you have a good understanding of everything. You may have been encouraged to learn to talk at an early age and now find it easy to communicate.

Positions of honor, affluence, influence, and stature in your community can be yours. You feel you have a destiny which involves leadership or distinguishing yourself in some line of endeavor. You possess an innate sense of greatness or importance, and a strong drive to achieve recognition for your talent. Avoid excessive egotism and arrogant pride, for these could limit your opportunities.

Language, words, communication, networking, clarity of speech or writing, being a messenger or go-between -- these are key features in your career, as well as how you go about achieving your goals and ambitions. "Work smarter, not harder" is your motto.

You have noble aspirations and grand plans for yourself. Combining personal goals with humanitarian concerns, philanthropy, and an interest in social betterment, you are apt to be quite successful and influential in your community. You are suited to large, expansive enterprises and dealing with wealth.

Conflicts in your early childhood are apt to be played out in your later professional life. Unresolved rivalry with a parent or sibling may result in antagonism toward superiors or competitors. If you can work through some of these past events, you will have even more energy and drive to achieve positive goals.

You possess great zeal and passion for achieving your aspirations in life, and can be something of a fanatic when you set your sights on a goal. You could do research work, psychological investigation, even detective work -- anything that involves delving beneath the surface for hidden elements. A great love of mystery and exploring the unknown fuels many of your personal ambitions.

You have two different career paths which appeal to you, and which may at some point be blended. The first has to do with the arts, entertainment, film, or music industry. The other is an involvement in the ministry, social betterment, charity or volunteer work. You have a high degree of sensitivity and this compassion is apt to be a key factor in your professional decisions and overall goals in life.

You have confidence in yourself and a healthy self-assured attitude. You make up your own mind and have a clear idea of where you are headed. You don't feel the need for recognition from others, but are likely to receive recognition anyway.

You are optimistic, have a lot of ideas, and are very fond of talking. Always ready to expand your mind, you have a zeal for learning new subjects. You may be interested in scientific fields and are likely to be very successful in your vocation.

Chapter 7: Growth and Expansion: Areas That You Enjoy

You have an innate shrewdness, and the ability to develop a clear strategy and follow it carefully in order to reach your goals. You also have a natural sense of order, structure, and self-discipline. You are likely to excel, both because you are ambitious and because it is very important to you to do a professional job, no matter what field you are in, or how humble the task.

Your career or contribution to the world at large is likely to touch many people's lives in a very positive, helpful way. You aim high and have an innate confidence and trust both in your own abilities and in life in general, which enables you to go far. You want to do something BIG with your life, and you attract the support you need to do so, for your aims are not solely for your own personal benefit. You want to give something back to the world, or to improve others' lives as well as your own.

You have a great, wide-open sense of possibilities which allows extraordinary, even miraculous events to come into your life. A sense of divine grace, of being part of the flow of the universe, of communing with celestial realms or Beings, are all very natural to you. At the same time, you're not apt to go to extremes or lose your sense of perspective. You are also quite altruistic and giving, and ready to aid less fortunate people. A sense of gratitude and spiritual wealth is one of your finest attributes.

Your manner is a bit phlegmatic and you could give the impression that everything is too much for you. You also have an innate inclination to be a little on the heavy side and seem to be content and happy leading a secluded and solitary mode of life.

You have a serious and structured perception of reality, are able to concentrate well, and you do everything in a methodical way. Very thorough and industrious, you work hard towards the accumulation of possessions and property.

You are inclined to look on the positive side of things and always are hopeful for the future. You like simplicity, are modest, and content to live a plain and ordinary life. Having a sense of tradition, you may be partial to history or religion.

Chapter 8: Areas That Challenge You Or Are Difficult For You

You have a great capacity for self-denial in the pursuit of a long-range goal. You are capable of hard work and persistent labor, but you may lack joyfulness and the ability to play. You often feel burdened by life's demands and responsibilities, and may envy those who seem to attract what they want in life without a great deal of personal effort.

There is a very judgmental, stern, and uncompromising side of yourself which may inhibit you a great deal. You must avoid becoming heavy and cynical, or becoming a rather callous, sophisticated adult whose practicality and realism squeeze out the playful, imaginative side of life.

You are very conscientious, responsible, and concerned with your duty, your public image and reputation, and becoming a person of stature in the world. You understand the need for hard work and careful planning in order to accomplish anything substantial and you're capable of much self-discipline and patience once you set your sights on a goal.

But you are very judgmental and hard on yourself if you fail to attain success, and you can become dry, bitter, or cynical if the world doesn't recognize your efforts.

Your aspirations and dreams are always tempered by realism and practical considerations. You pursue your aims in a systematic, disciplined, and thorough manner, and you are willing to take your time, advancing slowly and steadily on your way to your goal.

Sometimes you underestimate what is possible, and hold yourself back unnecessarily due to a lack of faith or an overly cautious attitude.

Now we will discuss patterns of behavior which you instinctively and habitually revert to when under stress - a mostly unconscious process and one which you are apt to overdo because it is so familiar and thus easy for you. The direction you need to follow in order to develop balance, greater awareness, and wholeness is also described.

Your natural instinct, especially when under stress, is to passively flow along with whatever is easiest, not clearly analyzing or assessing your situation and perhaps even trying to escape seeing your situation clearly by indulging in fantasies, intoxicants, and the like. Dreaminess and impracticality, being unfocused and undefined (at least in certain areas) are ways you cope with stress. You also have trouble setting boundaries and saying no.

Your path of development lies in cultivating discrimination and clarity, becoming more precise, developing technical and practical skills that will enable you to function more efficiently in the world. Finding a way to be of practical service is also important.

The arena you are most likely to wrestle with these issues is in your work and in your relations with co-workers, employers, and employees. Integrating the qualities described above into your work and daily routine will lead to greater satisfaction, improved health, and personal growth.

The following are specific activities that will support you in your growth. These may or may not feel natural to you, and often there is some feeling of resistance or initial awkwardness about doing these things, but they are important on your path to wholeness.

Your path to wholeness involves confronting the dark and hidden aspects of yourself - bringing them to light and transforming yourself in the process. Healing abilities develop as a result of your willingness to experience and transform deep emotions such as grief, anger, and pain. Also, seeing the darkness and pain in the world and helping to bring light to it without becoming overwhelmed is a significant issue for you.

Your relations with others could be rather unstable and unreliable. With a somewhat negative attitude and weak will, you avoid opposition and escape your responsibilities. In association with others, you are likely to choose people who are asocial.

Chapter 9: Originality and Imagination

Areas Where You Are Creative, Unique, Unstable, or Compulsive

You are uninhibited and have an outrageous, crazy sense of humor. You love to get loose and you're often impulsive or "wild". Even if you appear conventional, you are attracted to highly eccentric, creative, or unusual companions. In romance, you are happiest when there is an element of surprise, unpredictability, and adventure. You may choose unstable love partners.

You often have very naive, idealistic, or overly romantic attitudes toward people, and it's difficult for you to see others realistically. You may prefer to keep your relationships on an idealistic or platonic level, so that you don't have to deal with the more prosaic, earthy, human aspects of relating.

Thoroughly investigate potential marriage or business partners, as your gullibility and desire to see only the best in people may blind you to the truth about others with whom you form a close alliance.

You can become obsessed with your health, self-improvement and personal development. The psychological elements of disease interest you, and you may endlessly psychoanalyze yourself and others.

Also, you may work compulsively and exhaust yourself through overwork. You can be a tyrant with co-workers, and it may be easier for you to work in solitude.

You are somewhat irritable and have a tendency to lose your temper quickly when you are with other people. You enjoy sudden frank talks or discussions with others, but are inclined to become upset or heated with people too easily.

You are likely to indulge in day dreams, ideals and illusions and aren't able to adapt yourself very readily. You are easily annoyed with others and also quickly disappointed by them.

Your goals tend to be somewhat confused and unrealistic and because of this, you could be victimized by others without being aware of it. But at times you also may be the perpetrator, hiding the truth from others and trying to deceive them.

You tend to hide your true intentions and are inclined to misrepresent yourself. Somewhat indecisive, you may give the impression that you are unreliable and could lose some of your friendships because of it.

Chapter 10: Generational Influences: Your Age Group

In this chapter we will discuss characteristics and traits of your generation. Of course, you may not share all of the characteristics of your generation, but you are greatly affected by the tone that is set by your generation.

The first topic is "The Subconscious and Emotional Drive of Your Age Group". In this section we will describe a deeply felt urge, even compulsion, of your age group. This deeply felt drive comes to the surface with great force and power, and consequently leaves in its wake considerable upheaval and change. The second topic is "The Ideals and Illusions of Your Age Group", that describes the dreams, fantasies, and spiritual aspirations of your age group. The third and last topic is "What is New and Different in Your Age Group", which describes areas in which your age group tends to be innovative, inventive, unusual, and also where it may be unstable and unreliable.

The characteristics described below may affect a group of people for anywhere from a few years to about 30 years. There are one or more different astrological factors described in each of the three sections below.

The Subconscious and Emotional Drive of Your Age Group

You are part of a 15 year group of people that are driven by the need to find an ethical standard and a clear sense of what is right and what is wrong. There is a subconscious drive to straighten out all the world's evils and create a world of perfect order. There is a feeling of repulsion to anything ugly, dirty, or grotesque. Oddly enough, there is also often a fascination with these very things that are so distasteful, and often a feeling of hopelessness and despair about the world's condition.

These inner, emotional and conflicting qualities are reflected in the attitudes and life styles of your generation. Most people of your age group are conservative and ethical, and a small minority goes to the opposite extreme and relishes being strange or unusual in appearance, and sloppy or even grotesque in manners and appearance. There seems to be no middle ground for your generation. Usually, the rebellious type of behavior comes out during adolescence, and tends to subside thereafter, and your age group tends to be very conservative in later life.

Your age group is not very good at compromising and tends to have strong ideas about what is right and what is wrong. There is a strong feeling that you must extinguish evil in the world. Certainly, fostering good works is very commendable, but a categorical and simple-minded response to complex issues is not helpful. Your age group will undergo great transformations in attitudes regarding Good and Evil and will swing to great extremes. Your generation will also make great contributions in the areas of medicine and nutrition, ecology, and education.

The Ideals and Illusions of Your Age Group

You are part of a 14 year group of people that have very intense psychic sensitivity and imagination. Your age group is very attracted to the strange, weird, and unusual. The sense of the macabre and bizarre is strong, and this is reflected in much of the music, art, and fashions of your age group. Novels and movies with mystery and chilling suspense are also popular with your age group. Emotional depression, drug use, and suicide are likely to be relatively high in your age group. There is also a deep mystical sense, and Eastern religions and meditation are very attractive to your age group.

The entire generation to which you belong has tremendous opportunities for spiritual rebirth and awakening. This will not be forced upon you or precipitated by unavoidable events, rather it comes from an inner yearning and a natural propensity to seek the depths.

What is New and Different in Your Age Group

You are part of a 7 year group of people who are unusually self-willed, proud, and egotistical. You are a group that defies authority and insists on having its own way. Parents and school teachers found that it was extremely difficult to discipline your age group. Governments that are repressive to individual expression and freedom meet a great deal of resistance from your age group, and you tend to rise up against any form of tyranny and oppressive rule.
