AstroDatabank Update – the clearinghouse to
get the most current and reliable information on birth data and
significant events in the lives of public figures. Twice monthly we publish
corrections and updated news on people already in the AstroDatabank CD.
If you own AstroDatabank v.3, you can automatically download these
updates directly to your database! Simply establish your
Internet connection, open AstroDatabank v.3, and select “Tools” from
the menu at the top of the page. Then select “Web Update” and follow
the instructions.
Aguilera, Christina
The singer’s fiancé, Jordan Bratman, popped the question on February
11, 2005 in Carmel, CA, and she said yes. They have not yet set a
wedding date.
Dee, Sandra
The actress died at age 62 on February 20, 2005 in Los Robles
Hospital & Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, California, according to
news reports quoting her son. She had been in the hospital for the prior
two weeks and was being treated for complications from kidney disease
and pneumonia. In 2000, she had been diagnosed with throat cancer and
kidney failure. Though most news reports quoted her son for a time of
death of 6 AM, Beth Havens noted that a local paper placed the time of
death at 5:57 AM, quoting the attending nurse.
De Jersey, Katherine
The well-known astrologer died of pneumonia on February 9, 2005 at
her Chicago, IL home. She was 91.
Hamilton, Scott
On November 11, 2004, the skater was diagnosed with a one-inch
non-cancerous brain tumor near his pituitary gland. On December 13, 2004
in Cleveland, OH, he underwent an intricate procedure that attacks the
tumor with gamma radiation. The treatment at The Cleveland Clinic
destroyed the tumor but the fluid-filled cyst that enclosed the growth
is still there. Doctors are monitoring his condition hoping that the
cyst will dissolve.
Hurt, John
The British actor married for the fourth time—this time to Anwen
Rees-Myers on February 11, 2005 in London.

The coordinates for his birth place have been changed to 39 N 37; 8
W 40. These coordinates are for the correct Aljustrel, a tiny hamlet
near Fatima. The coordinates given in previous editions of
AstroDatabank were for a larger town in a different district.

Raitt, John
The entertainer died at home in Pacific Palisades, CA on February
20, 2005 of complications from pneumonia. He was 88.
Santos, Lucia dos
The reclusive nun, last surviving witness to the miracles at Fatima,
died on February 13, 2005 at 5:25 PM local time (time from the February
14, 2005 online edition of the newspaper, “Diário de Coimbra”). She was
nearly 98 years old. We have changed the coordinates of her birth town
to 39 N 37, 8 W 40. These coordinates are for Aljustrel, a tiny hamlet
near Fatima, in central Portugal. There is a larger town named Aljustrel
in southern Portugal that is listed in most atlases; hence the
previously incorrect coordinates. Thanks to John Taber for the time of
death and for the alert on the town’s coordinates.

On February 22, 2005, the French actress died at age 93 in Paris.
