If you own AstroDatabank v.3 or v.4, you can automatically download these updates directly to your database! Simply establish your Internet connection, open AstroDatabank v.3 or v.4, and select "Tools" from the menu at the top of the page. Then select "Web Update" and follow the instructions.
Blair, Tony
Blair stepped down from his post as Prime Minister on
June 27, 2007. His next assignment is special envoy to the Middle East,
representing the United States, Russia, the United Nations and the
European Union.
Crespin, Régine
The world of opera lost two stars in early July: Beverly Sills of the
United States and Régine Crespin, of France. The 80-year-old Crespin
died of liver cancer on July 4, 2007 in Paris.
Griffey, Ken Jr.
On July 6, 2007, Griffey hit his 586th homer in Cincinnati, OH. With it,
he tied Hall of Famer Frank Robinson for sixth place for number of
career homers.
Sills, Beverly
The US opera star and arts administrator died at age 77 on the evening
of July 2, 2007 at her home in Manhattan, NY. The cause of death was
lung cancer.
Walker, Robert
His birth year has been changed from 1919 to 1918 based on his death
certificate and the 1920 census that listed his age on January 1, 1920
as one year three months. I believe that the 1919 was a typo, either by
LMR or by the original source. The source notes have been updated as
well. Thanks to Carlos Cuadra for the initial alert of a discrepancy
between his AstroDatabank record and other information.
