Bonds, Barry
On November 15, 2007 in San Francisco, Barry Bonds was indicted by a
Grand Jury on perjury and obstruction of justice.
Imus, Don
After an absence from the airwaves of nearly eight months, Imus returned
to radio on December 3, 2007 at 6 AM EST. Although he said the essence
of his program would not change, he added: "I will never say anything in
my lifetime that will make any of these young women at Rutgers regret or
feel foolish that they accepted my apology and forgave me. And no one
else will say anything else on my program that will make anyone think
that I didn't deserve a second chance."
Knievel, Evel
Suffering from diabetes and pulmonary fibrosis, he died on November 30,
2007 in Clearwater, FL. He was 69.
McEvoy, Frances
The warm and generous astrologer lost her battle with cancer on December
10, 2007, age 78. She passed away at 11:38 AM EST at her Belmont, MA
home with family and friends at her bedside. A prolific writer, ardent
data collector, and wise teacher, she generously shared data and her
knowledge of astronomy and astrology with colleagues and students. She
was devoted to her beloved art and to the astrological community,
especially to NCGR and its Boston Chapter. Frances lives on in the
hearts of those whose lives she touched.
Pompeo, Ellen
Pompeo married record producer, Chris Ivery, on November 9, 2007 in New
York City with Mayor Michael Bloomberg as the only witness.
Rockefeller, John D. Sr.
Thanks to an inquiry from Aleskandar Imsiragic, we’ve changed the year
of his birth to 1839 in AstroDatabank based on Ron Chernow’s biography
as well as on other sources. On December 5, 2007, PT changed the birth
year from 1838 to 1839 based on the biography by Ron Chernow, "Titan"
published in 1998. Chernow writes: "“In 1838, Eliza (Rockefeller’s
mother) gave birth to their first child, Lucy,….” Then Chernow writes:
“On the night of July 8, 1839, Bill and Eliza (parents) again summoned
the midwife, this time to deliver a boy…..”
Rule, Jane
On November 27, 2007, the novelist died of complications of liver cancer
at her home in Galiano Island, British Columbia. She was 76.
